The Website currently uses the following third party service providers which may change when needed:
Hosting Service - the Site is hosted by an off-the-site server, which collects and stores information on its server for the data for the Site. It does not store any of your information since you don't provide them for this purpose.
Google Analytics - this service tracks Website usage and provides information such as referring websites and user actions on the Website. Google Analytics may capture your IP address, but no other personal information is captured by Google Analytics.
Flodesk - this service is used for delivery of email newsletters that you voluntarily subscribe to. Flodesk stores your information you provided - your first name and email address - for the purpose of delivering communications from the Site. All newsletters sent may contain tracking information to analyze the success of the information and delivery of the email campaigns. Because of the tracking, we are able to see when and if you opened the email and which links within the email you click. This allows the Site to adapt the content of future newsletters to the interests of the user. Some of the information in the newsletter will include but not limited to: blog posts, general marketing, sales of products and services, and notifications of any changes on the Site. None of the information collected via newsletters will be passed on to third parties other than Flodesk. Please refer to Flodesk's Privacy Policy for further information.
Social Media Networks - Social media shares are tracked by third-party applications from the Site. Those sites may ask for your information off the Site have their own privacy policies and we do not have any control over what information they store when you use them. For example, if you share the Site's information on your social media accounts, we do not have any control over them.
Bootstrapped Ventures, the developer of WP Recipe Maker - does not have access to any of the data collected by the plugin. This is all stored in your local database and not communicated back to us.
Cookies - When user ratings are enabled we store a WPRM_User_Voted_%recipe% cookie (with %recipe% the ID of the recipe) that contains the rating this user has given to a particular recipe. This cookie is used as (one of the) measures to prevent rating spam.
IP Address - When user ratings are enabled we store the IP address upon voting. This is used as (one of the) measures to prevent rating spam.
How long we retain your data - Our cookies are stored for 30 days. User submitted data is stored indefinitely in the local database.
CloudFlare - traffic for the Site is distributed by a Content Delivery Network (CDN) company that collects cookies and various types of data for faster delivery and loading of the Site, as specified in the privacy policy of the service.
Third-Party Embeds
Some of the content that you see displayed on the Site is not hosted by the Site. These “embeds” are hosted by a third-party and embedded in the Site. For example: YouTube or Vimeo videos, Imgur or Giphy gifs, SoundCloud audio files, Twitter tweets, GitHub code, or Scribd documents that appear on the Site. These files send data to the hosted site just as if you were visiting that site directly (for example, when you load a page with a YouTube video embedded in it, YouTube receives data about your activity).
