Korean Style Steamed Eggs

  • 1 Large egg
  • 1/3 Cup cold water
  • 1 tsp Chopped scallions
  • Pinch of sesame seeds
  • Pinch of garlic powder salt and pepper


  • Mix the egg and water in a small bowl
  • Strain the egg mixture over a fine mesh strainer into a heatproof bowl
  • Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well and set aside.
  • Add 1 Cup of water to the inner pot of Instant Pot
  • Place the trivet or a steamer basket in the pot
  • Place the bowl with the egg mixture on the trivet or a steamer basket.
  • Close the lid tightly, close the vent valve.
  • Press “Manual” setting on HIGH and set the timer for 5 minutes.
  • When the timer goes off, release the pressure manually (QR.)
  • Serve immediately with hot rice!
