Over 84 percent of American homes have dust mites? Ewwwww….Those pesky microscopic dirty critters that cause allergies in so many people, including my family, live in our beds, with us! They survive by eating our dead skin, poop on our beds and we get allergic to their poop and their corpse (grosssssss!)
And they need at least 50 percent moisture in order to survive, according to a study in Kingston University in London.
What’s the solution? This is the best part.
Don’t make your bed.
That’s right. Yahooooo!!!! Can you hear my kids hooting?
Nicely made beds trap moisture making those buggers to thrive under the sheets while you are at work. Un-made beds air out the sheets and are exposed to dry air, making it inhabitable for the critters.
So don’t make your bed or yell at your kids when they don’t make their beds in the morning. Have a nice sit-down breakfast instead.
I know. I’m their best friend now. I try. 🙂
