I am done with shopping for Christmas. We don’t usually go overboard and especially now that kids are older, we don’t have to go near the mall or toy stores where people become psychotic this time of the year. I shopped on Etsy, Uncommon Goods, and Amazon and I am done!
So, What’s on my christmas gift (and my wish) list this year?
Zodiac Sign Necklaces by Olive Bites on Etsy. The business is located in Jersey shore. Love supporting local!
I bought a few overall/shortalls from OverallBaby for a cousin’s baby, also from Etsy. I couldn’t buy just one. Can you blame me? The quality and the work(wo)manship is impeccable. And it’s from Brooklyn NY!
Talking about babies, if you have new moms and babies on your list, you need Earth Mama Angel Baby products, although, I love their products for my own ‘grown’ babies too. You can read my review about this awesome company here.
A reusable water bottle from Klean Kanteen is a ‘must’ for anyone, especially an athlete who keeps losing his water bottle (ahem). This bottle is totally plastic-free since the top is made of bamboo!
Coffee or Tea Drinker
This double walled mug is too chic for anyone who drinks coffee or tea since it’s lightweight and made with double walled glass. I bought this for my mom who likes lightweight mugs. And my hubby who likes chic styles, so I had to get one for him too.
Give this board game to any kid who complains, “It’s boring…there is nothing to do…” Get them off TV and video games; have them play board games with their buddies.
I learned about this cool guitar pick punch from Green 4 U blog and thought it’d be perfect for my guitar strumming dude. He can make his customized guitar pics with old credit cards or hotel key cards. Recycle while rockin’. How cool is that?
Shameless Plug here for one of my necklaces from my shop on Etsy. There is one for a librarian or a book lover also. And with a NYC Subway map too.
MY WISH LIST
Any one of these would make my Christmas. “Are you listening, Santa?”
Note: The Weston dehydrator pictured above is totally PLASTIC FREE. You can read the research on different dehydrators on The Soft Landing. You’d be surprised what it said about the most popular dehydrator.
I would love to take a couple of crafting class after the holiday. And coincidentally, Craftsy is having a sale. Score!
Right now you can Gift Any Craftsy Class and save. Did you hear that Santa? If you don’t know which class to gift, you can give the “Gift Any Class” cards, and the receiver can choose any class.
Gift 1 Craftsy class for $30 (save up to $30)
Gift 2 Craftsy classes for $55 (save up to $65)
Gift 3 Craftsy classes for $75 (save up to $105)
• Gifted classes never expire
• Give one, two, or three Craftsy classes
• Deliver on any date (up to three months in advance)
Knowledge is the best gift, don’t you think?
Membership to museums, botanical gardens, orchestra, theatre, and even a sporting event would be perfect gifts. Personally, I would love to attend a conference or a retreat that I couldn’t afford to go to. And if I get to take a friend or a family member, that would be even more perfect.
You can also donate to non-profit organizations on someone’s behalf. The Arbor Day Foundation has a great selection of gifts you can buy that benefits them directly. I was in a Twitter Chat with them earlier in the month and it’s a great organization that plants trees.
So what new gifts did you buy this year? And what would you like to receive?
